Was any one affected by the severe weather wed? while none of us can explain how a tornado picks a path to take, I feel blessed & lucky to be here. every storm from 4: 00 a.m. wed thru the evening was on a path heading north directly towards my city. the first one came within 1 mile then veered west, then back on course north only after it passed our city. all the rest, came right for us & then at the last minute veered right. east. everyone around my town in every direction had devastated destruction. all except us. we never even lost power.

while listening to the radio, all afternoon, all the reports were almost the same on the direction. I know all the towns by name. I would hear all the towns named & announced the minutes before impact. then just as the storm was within minutes from the city limits, it would take a sharp turn east & then back north east. I have been thru the entire limestone county in AL. the devastation in something you cannot imagine, unless you see in person. the organization I am involved with have been out helping the victims. the generosity in my area is overwhelming. it should be an example to folks everywhere.

I had 16 deaths within 20 miles east and west. I was very fortunate. I didn't know until this morning but found out our county did suffer severe damage and a state of emergency was declared. A little town 5 miles north of me had many roofs blown off and trailers demolished. Some 11,000 without power.

That was a strange storm for sure.

Trenton & Ringgold, GA were pretty much wiped off the map.

I deliver here in Florida tomorrow. Then reload for Kingsport, TN. Tuesday afternoon I'll be deadheading home. Fortunatly my family is OK.

I was around 3 of them that day...One crossed the road a mile in front of me on 78S(saw this one clear as day), I was just North of the one as it ripped thru Birmingham(only saw the cloud, my view was blocked by hill and trees lining road) and then one crossed the road a few miles in front of me on 20E(at night, could only see debris left on road) after getting thru the debris in Birmingham...

The town Eskimo and SweetSouthernRide live in was virtually leveled.

Their house was spared from tornado damage, but 2 days later their house caught fire when power was restored.

They were in Indiana with family when the fire happened.

They didn't lose a whole lot, but their house (a rental) is destroyed.
