They are transitioning to it and pushing hard. Depending upon which rumor you believe, either all electronic by end of August or end of year. All new lease trucks and company trucks are electronic as they go into service and have been for a little while now. And they are switching over existing ones about as fast as they can.

That really sucks. But it's their truck to assign to whoever they see fit to. Look at the bright side. At least your truck isn't an International 9200i with the 52" sleeper. You could be worse off.

Guess it depends on the terminal cause I can look across the street and see a lot full of trucks with no drivers.

Sorry about that. Then if the Cascadia are for teams only, then does that also explain all of the 780's and T-700 I see rolling down the road and at the PHX terminal. Not the ones that are for L/O, but the ones with all of the decals on them. The other day actually saw a company Pete 386 and even a trailer with that new wind wing on it, and open. Strange.

The 386 might have been a promotional product from PACCAR, Inc., just like the couple Lone Stars Swift received from Navistar International.
Some years ago, Swift received a Western Star 4964 in a similar fashion.. used to see it in Greer a lot. Instead of the five digit number (I guess six is the norm now?) it only had the number 1 on the fender. Talk about the stories which went flying about that... if you believed them, it was supposed to be one of his sons, or even Jerry Moyes himself (dependent on who it was telling these stories). Talking to the guy who drove it, you found out it was far from the case - he was just another Swift driver, and the reason his truck was numbered "1" was because there was only space on the fender for a single digit number.

Not necessarily. My truck has 570K on it and still driving it today (well not today because it's in the shop for the A/C).

No sir. I've had the new QC in my truck for about 3 months now and I'm not set up on E-logs yet (and haven't been).

    Tired...
It's a lot of work moving into a new truck. But here I am, sitting in my new old Volvo. Got a nice 45k load to break 'er in. 3.5 hours for a live load and a hundred miles down the road, and I decided to call it quits for the night.

Overall not a bad truck, except that the drivers seat armrest is missing.
And the headlights are so bad I doubt I will do much night driving.

The team I swapped with are new with Swift, and they have only done 2 loads in this Volvo. They never had the chance to dirty it up, so we each got to move in to a clean truck.

    The Challenger Thanks this.

    What a moral booster :)

It really don't make sense to take you out of a new one and put you in one that they are about to retire anyways.

But, you will get another one shortly. I wouldn't get too comfortable in that truck.
