Like everyone has said.... That does suck I read your post where you were getting the brand new truck. And then to see they gave you an older one. I actually felt bad for you when I read that. Hope you are able to do something about the headlights.

I guess I could crunch a fender, then ask for new headlights when they replace the hood. :biggrin_25523:

The truck may be old, but it's clean and drives well. I don't like the smaller bunk, but it could be a lot worse - I could have inherited a truck from a real slob.

It's not a matter of old or new... the Volvo headlights just plain suck. I'm wondering if that's why they seem to be going to the older style hoods now.

The crud is not the problem with Volvo headlights, my plastic lens is almost brand new. The type of bulb they use and light output is terrible. I used some of that clear shine or whatever from Walmart on an old freightshaker and it cleaned those lens up really good.

When you get tired of jumping in and out of Volvos, you could try SRT, I just got a 2012 Pete 286 with 14k on it last month after driving a 2010 Cascadia for a year. We toss out anything older than 3 years. The next time you pass through Texarkana, Ar. check out all the new 2012 trucks getting prepped. we just bought 100 Petes and KW. Solos do coast to coast, regional or dedicated depending on whats their pleasure. OTR required, 2 weeks min. 3 weeks gets you 4 days of hometime and 4 weeks gets you 5 days at home. We only have a 1000 or so drivers and plenty of loads. The Quarterly Bonuses are a nice fringe benefit too!

    RAGE 18 Thanks this.
