Are you guys running the trip together? Unless you’re wife is making the trip at a different time I don’t see what the issue is with her pulling your trailer behind your pickup. Getting a safe, properly maintained rental truck is more of a gamble then running your old stuff anyway.
If you run back door most of the trip so you can keep an eye on things and keep in communication it should be no big deal. Shes gonna have to stop for fuel a few times so best to keep her rig running front door.singlescrewshaker and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
You know that every scale and every commercial cop that sees that is going to want to inspect it.Oxbow Thanks this.

Why won't the 20' trailer fit in the 53 ft ?
-
Its a few inches wider than 101
-
Could you pull the wheels, fenders, etc off and roll it in on casters?
-
Possibly but even then when i tried to pull it up the trailer with the ramps i had bought and the back was scraping on the floor plus the door on the side will hit also
-
If its going to save you money having to rent a truck to tow it, look at how much it might cost to get a roll on type tow truck to get it in there. $100 for the tow truck to load it is still probably cheaper than the few hundred in fuel it will cost driving another vehicle that far. Just budget for doing the same to unload.

i get what your saying but the trailer just doesnt fit inside the dry van....i really wish it did cause to rent another pickup truck is costing 900$ plus fuel

if they see me hauling a smaller 20ft trailer behind my 53ft dry van yea lol
