I just bought a truck, trailer and excavator toy model at the flea market today for $10.. Just a cheapie toy model but still looks good.. The truck is a purple International 8600 that is die cast.. The gooseneck and excavator are just plastic cheap stuff... The truck and trailer combination are not meant for each other.. Just the trailer/excavator are sold together and truck is just sold as a truck.. So I had to modify the 5th wheel to accept the trailer pin..

Anyhow I just wanted to share my pictures.. I also have 2 other truck/trailers that I bought a long time ago but I am not sure where they are.. Kenworth trucks (black and a red) with 2 trailers... If I find them I might even hook the black Kenworth (sleeper) to the float trailer...

Share what truck toys you have.. I enjoy the model trucks.. Cheapos and Expensive ones..

Crappy Iphone pictures... Also I notice the truck looks like it's actually blue in the pictures.. But it's 100% a purple truck...

Well I just "upgraded" my little $10 toy model... I added some "Oversize Load" signs that I just painted yellow on some cardboard then wrote the letters with perm marker.... Looks better now.. Although in Canada we use the "D" sign with vertical Red and White stripes.. I must prefer the U.S Yellow sign with the words "overside load".. I don't understand why Canada doesn't use the same signs.. I mean more people would understand a sign the clearly states "oversize" rather the one marked with a "D"...

Anyhow.. Here is my free little upgrade on this cheapo toy... Again crappy iphone pictures.

I've got one of our open deck models off our company store website, which I linked pictures of below. Getting ready to purchase another...not sure whether I want a box or the Tri-Axle.

you are missing the flags. All corners need flags and strobes two in the front two in the back.

Well I just finished working on that part... I made the cab strobes from orange cardboard and tape, back strobes made from orange ear plugs, flags made from old work shirt and mounted with wire wrap.. Strobes and front sign held on with contact cement... Looks good for a cheap project.. I'd like to this tho ... http://store.extremecustomtoys.com/exondetr.html (low boy detachable trailer) and this truck http://store.extremecustomtoys.com/fltrtr.html ...

    For now this will do..

Ilike too build models, but i myself would use some computer program too make the oversize signs, then lanmate them onto stiff card stock, would look more better, but then just me, far as strobe goes, they make min lights that do strobe too, i used too get too much detailed in my models , so i had too give it up a few years ago, now you need the escort car and this would be great looking gig :biggrin_25514:
