Thousands like that in Canada. Even the Lease on O/o who undercut making average rates around $1.30 cpm for some without a fuel surcharges as well. Of course 85% are foreigners imported because of demand for the larger carriers stating their is a driver shortage connecting with other moving onto becoming a o/o. When this becomes the majority it becomes almost impossible for others running their own Authority to stay a float from a Loadboard alone

I thought this was about TQL? Pretty sure they have a lot of overhead to cover. Not some dude and a desk with a cell phone.

Not sure on that. I see them on X/twitter all the time together. Pretty much one and the same how they like to talk! Would not be surprised if they back NOOIA in some form.

It doesn't but then people want to act like they have the only truck in the world to haul freight so they think they can leverage it into better rates.

Right!! If it doesn't work, move on.
It doesn't. never has and never will. I think greed and jealousy play a part. I have a driver who cries about things like this all the time, we keep telling him it doesn't matter what the broker gets, worry about what he gets, and not take your eye off of your costs and needs, not anyone else but still he could get $4.50 a mile and still worry about the broker's margin.

But it won't matter, the issue is what the truck makes, not what the broker makes.

I might not be looking the right way, but I tried googling to find a recent article validating this post, and all I can see is that a cease and desist letter was sent to TQL several months ago, but no actual article that shows they actually were forced to release the requested info. Could anyone link an article about this?

Some may not remember James Lamb and the cases against him. Here's one of the bigger ones.

Interesting, I wonder how accurate it all is. E.G. did the FMCSA really go TQL HQ and force them to turn over information? If so did they really make 46% margin on the load? It looks like the supposed carrier (Pink Cheetah MC# 1038832) was based out of either NY or FL and lost their authority in May or June of this year, it's weird that at this point they'd be spending time (and travelling to OH) to try and verify what the customer rate was on a load they hauled at least 5 months ago.

I would take anything he says, and look for the catch in it. Years (and many actions) of him/his company ripping off carriers and now he is standing up for them?

Maybe she requested it knowing she was going to be hanging it up this year and had nothing to lose.
