I literally had a tql broker screw up a load with the wrong address. I showed up and emailed them. It was 4am so I went to sleep. I wake up to literally, not an exaggeration, 60 missed calls, calls from my drivers, my drivers family, my family, over the span of 1. One hour !!! I showed up on time to the address listed.

TQL are a bunch of scumbags.
I've had like 10 issues with them over thelast 2 years. Last one they stole a tonu, and stopped answering the phone when I called in.

Straight up dirtbags. I had even been hung up on by various reps. I have had reps take an attitude on the phone. Last trip with them they banned me after I tried to throw away 200 pounds of packing materials the reciever left on the truck, in the reciever dumpster....

Yeah, I don't know what anyone is hoping to accomplish by scolding a TQL rep. It's a pointless waste of time. If I get to having to call brokers to move one of our trucks and they tell me a number that's silly, I don't even bother saying "no thanks". I just press the little red button on my phone and move on with life so I don't miss the next opportunity.

How many owner-operators are there in the United States?

Owner operators are vital to the economy. According to American Trucking Associations, there are 3.5 million truckers in the United States, and of those, 800,000 are owner operators. Owner operators haul 70% of the nation's freight and generate $749 billion in revenue each year.Aug 6, 2022

Even if you were right about that 9-10%, it would be
a big disruption to the industry.

Megas contract a lot of more freight that they can handle. That's why all of them have a brokerage division. Then, their driving pool is not the brightest one. There are so many unpredicted problems arising every single day. How do I know it? I've worked for one of them for more than a year.

Mega freight also doesn't require a whole lot of thought.

Get them out of their comfort zone, lot's of bad things start happening.

I'm no fan of brokers, but if I was the broker I would have just hung up on him. You either take the load or you don't, once I heard that they weren't taking the load for what I was willing to offer they would have heard a dial tone.

At the end of the day TQL will likely find somebody to haul that load. Instead of blaming TQL, you should be blaming your fellow OO for taking these loads.
