If I had a nickel for every bad word ive heard about TQL, I would have two sock fulls of nickels too beat people who keep pulling thier freight. I will not pull for them, ever. They have had this reputation for a long time, and carriers keep using them an getting shafted just to turn and use them again.

If you book something with TQL you better get your rate confirmation pronto...... cause what they love to do is to reach a verbal agreement/commitment, and then sit on it while waiting for a lower bid...... There you are, thinking you have the load, and at a price that you actually made something on, but no rate con...... It doesn't seem to be coming through on the o'l fax machine.....But that's "ok", you're thinking, dude probably just went to lunch or something..... next thing you know, you're calling TQL, trying to get that rate con sent over and you can't get a hold of the dude you booked it with.... At this point, you DO NOT HAVE THE LOAD. That load, is gone, gone with the wind..... cause while you were waiting for that rate con, someone else called and TQL got them to do it cheaper..... and TQL never even bothered to tell you that they just hosed you....

I was in Norfolk, VA and I was looking for something to move. I called about a posted load that TQL had and the guy said it was about 50 miles down the road in North Carolina. I said I think I'll see if I can find something here in this area. The guy didn't want to let me go and begged and said will pay for you to go down there and pick it up, we really need you to do this. I said I can find something from this area without having to go 50 miles down the road. The jerk got an attitude and said your really weird and that doesn't have good logic. I hung up on him, and printed out his name so I won't ever use him again.

And you didn't hear him out why? Imagine if they were going to offer you $250 to deadhead down and pick it up, you would never know.

It amazes me the amount of people who refuse to listen what is being said, the guy said they can pay you to deadhead, at least listen to what he is offering before you get all hight and mighty

I hauled two loads for tQL recently no problems. Now today one of their talking turds called me looking for a truck.
I have my truck posted at 14,000Lbs. or less and this rocket scientist can't read. He tells me I should only post for decent weights of 40,000 or more.
TQL has jumped back into the Sucks category to keep landstar company.

I don`t want to defend that talking turd, as for I also do not care for that company the least bit. But as a broker, I still might want to call. As much as you hate the bait and switch game some brokers play, some companies do the same. I`ve called several times on a truck posted in a certain city, and then they tell me they have a DH of x amount of mile cause the truck is actually in a different city. Or trucks that are posted up as a destination to anywhere, but when you call you get a " I want Midwest Only" or a No East coast. We at times have the same gripes with the carriers as you do the Brokers.
