Its funny in a strange way, not laughing matter. But I use this web site for lots of things. As soon as I started posting about my problem with this, TQL got in touch with me to resolve this matter by both e-mail and voice mail. This web site gets results, it shows up in google searches, brokers watch it, and drivers watch it. I'll give credit for them reaching out to me this way to try to resolve this. Hopefully tomorrow I can contact someone to bring this matter to an end.

TQL has at least one full-time employee that scans the Internet looking for dissatisfied TQL customers. That person calls me to discuss any comments I make in TQL threads on this site.

TQL is a joke. last time I hauled a load for them, they woke me up @ 4am to find out where I was, I told them to call my dispatcher that's what he's for & they said no we want to talk to u the driver. I said ok fine have a nice night, hung up & turned off my phone. when I woke up I had 4 ugly voicemail's on it from TQL which I returned their call with some not so favorable words for them.
ridgerunner77 and baha Thank this. -
That's the kind of stuff that will have customer's passing over your truck with the good stuff and loading it on someone else's truck. Someone who understands customer service is job # 1 in trucking. I'm glad a lot of operators think this way. I'm always where I say I'll be exactly when I said I would when i give ETA's on picks and drops on every load. If i have to make half dozen phone calls or send a half dozen emails in the course of a load, no-one ever calls me asking what's up, then my job was complete. That gets you access and repeat business on the good stuff. Some of these agents can lose access if they don't have all manner of immediate status updates. They can't risk that on a truck like you and they won't either. Granted, if you're running at a cheap rate it really just adds insult to injury. Of course they get what they pay for most of the time. "Just load my truck and don't bother me I know what I'm doing" - the customer don't care how long you been trucking driver, they paid for a service.Marlin46 and VisionLogistics Thank this.

there's customer service. and there's harrasement.
avoid the harrasement. you don't lose customers.pusherman Thanks this. -
I recently hauled a load out of an area where no one would believe a rate with legs was possible, out of Florida going 2600 miles and paying $2.67 per mile....and it wasn't produce of any kind either.
Yes, they called every four hours, and no, I didn't mind.
Customer service is all we really have in this business.rollin coal and VisionLogistics Thank this. -
We've never been screwed by TQL, and in part, that's probably because we do like Rollin' said- provide a service with a smile. My goal is to always try to say YES to my customers, and avoid saying NO as long as the request is reasonable. We do our TQL check calls, but also have our dispatchers sending email notifications to the broker for every event, such as Arrival, Departure, Empty, etc. with ALL pertinent information. Keeping them in the loop is an easy habit to maintain and has kept us in their "loop" for decent loads.
rollin coal Thanks this. -
Shouldn't be giving away trade secrets like that lol. For the folks who think to themselves "I'm a professional - give me the load and don't bother me with phone calls - I'll take care of it and be on time" is service. Well you're just another lackluster carrier that has everyone scratching their heads wondering what the hell is going on with their freight.
GITRDUN45 Thanks this. -
This is not what you want to hear but with 24 hours to go 200 miles I think it is your own dang fault you were late. As my first boss said to me, "if you are not early, you are late" I have never had a service failure but I would have shown up at 6am.
average joe, passingthru69, NavigatorWife and 2 others Thank this. -
To me if you can't get around Traffic given 24 hours on a 200 mile load I'd ( if broker) would charge ya and NEVER EVER give you load again. What was you doing pulling load with Little Red Wagon? NO EXCUSES!!!! That's ridiculous and reason why we get treated like we do with some brokers. Thanks
