You don't.

If the number isn't one I've programmed into my phone's contact list, I assume it's a spoof and I ignore it.Bud A., tscottme and Dockbumper Thank this.

Our Government has mandated that phone numbers will not be spoofed and there shall be no more spam phone calls. So, you can rest assured that the call/msg you are getting is perfectly legal and of interest to you.
HoneyBadger67, not4hire, tscottme and 2 others Thank this. -
Yeah! I saw it on facebook and twatter.....is must be true

This is me, too, and it drives the wife nuts. I'll silence a ringing phone and barely glance to see who it is. "Don't you want to speak to 'George'? It's been a while, you should probably call him back." At which point I'll hand her the phone.
I'm still old school, from the days when if you missed a call you never knew. I miss those days.Tropsnart, kylefitzy, Bud A. and 1 other person Thank this. -
Seems like you want to spend a lot of calories identifying the person and getting even with them instead of just blocking their calls and texts and ignoring them .
I get it , I feel the same way , with some of the tests and calls I get but it just isn’t worth the energy and time .
A lot easier to just block their number .
That stops all calls and texts , at least until they or software starts inventing a different number .
If you have an iPhone , it’s super easy to block the incoming calls and texts from a particular number .
if it’s vulgar and threatening , take screen shots and do not respond . -
I tell people that all of the time! LolHoneyBadger67 Thanks this.
