Some drivers in my company were tampering with Elog... unplugging fuse and such... But company found out about it... Whenever someone would do it, red flag would show in the system for log dept to see... I met two drivers who were called by company to explain themselves... And then company sent msg via QC advising drivers to stop doing it otherwise they would be fired...

shame on these grown men who dont want to be controled by a computer

they need to join the flock and become docile; its for their own good

    freedom is way over-rated, anyhow

I guess the question that comes to mind is... why did they feel the need to tamper with the Elog? Why not just quit and go somewhere else if they didn't want to be controlled by a computer? I always am amazed at how people will mess with their boss's equipment instead of just going somewhere else or getting their own. What is it in folks that they always feel compelled to mess with stuff that doesn't belong to them. Just move on to somewhere else. After all, isn't there a driver shortage? That is what all the trucking rags say.

Mack did it for $95 . They had it done at Mack because we only do it on the few trucks that go to Canada . Now with e-logs showing so many drivers speeding our shops are equipped to set speeds on trucks of drivers that ignore warnings to slow down .

I consider myself an "outlaw" too... getting very sick and tired of all the control... my days may be numbered...

I agree with that... But my response to that is, maybe because they didn't think company would catch them and it would be much easier than go find another place... It took a while for company to find out about what was going on...

Well. If that's even possible. I vote for the editing program for the ECM. It'll just be like paper logs only no littering of the logbook pages while running down the road.
