I don't love EOBR's, but I'm not going to let it interrupt the flow of my happiness either. It's pretty simple, do you haul a load because it's only 1,000 lbs overweight ? of course not, so if you have 10 hours of driving and 11 hours of 14 do you book a 600 mile run that has to be there in 15 hours ?? I wouldn't.
EOBRs will not matter until the feds punish company's that alter any log. Otherwise its a waste of time and until they cost the owner's NOTHING than I will continue with my paper and pen that has a cost to me of $100 or less per year.
The feds need to make a regulation that NO log can be altered just ask #### no name as he understands. Any altercation to a log is a falsified log which is a violation of the regulation. EOBRS are a joke and no better than paper.
No way, really? No wonder I use up all my hours in 5 days. Sarcasm; some in first post too. I realize its not a major problem, and so far have had only one time a couple months ago where I would have actually got screwed on drive time.
it seems that elogs are ok for people who drop and hook, for the rest of us who actually deliver and load.it could be a problem, also i can probably get the same miles but not in same time frame so in effect im making less, now before all you good little people tell me im unsafe your wrong,im never rushed,i can and do bend the rules.like ive said all along i drive when feel good sleep when tired.and dont give me plan your load better driver...thats crap
Do you do several deliveries and drops in a day ? Because if you just do one or two you can often turn a delivery into a 2 hour sleeper and take 8 later, or if you really get hung up somewhere for 4 hours or something you have to do some headscratching, some times it's better to just complete your 10 before you leave. Not telling you to plan better, but you can work with what they give you sometimes. Another trick is to get to your delivery the night before so you don't have to start your clock until you are empty.
