Boy, I am hoping there is some way to convert my 13 to an 18. Being able to split the low range would help on icy, muddy hills.Oxbow, skootertrashr6 and johndeere4020 Thank this.
-
I don't think there really is, this is out of my realm of expertise so we'll wait for a better answer.HandLogger and Lepton1 Thank this.

That's what makes this the best part of the forum. So much knowledge and experience freely shared. Asking how or why any one does something will generally get an informative reply. As long as everybody stays respectful.
Problems happen when others wander in and start spouting off false information and refuse to listen.MJ1657, Oxbow, DDlighttruck and 5 others Thank this. -
It can be done but not cheap, takes the whole back box off an 18. If I really wanted one I would start bumming rebuilders to let you trade in a your pull out 13 for a rebuilt 18. The core on the 18 runs around 2800 here for an 18918. So with a working 13 it would help you offset some of the cost.
-
If the core charge for an E-F 18918 is $2800 in your neck of the woods, @wore out , what's a rebuilt 18918 costing there?
Oxbow and johndeere4020 Thank this. -
My local guy wanted $5k CDN for a 13 when I asked a couple years ago. He didn't even want my 15 as a core. Worthless he said
-
About 3200 if your core is good. With a year unlimited mileage warranty.Lepton1, Oxbow, HandLogger and 2 others Thank this.

I got a RTLO18718B last year/couple years back, Eaton genuine rebuild, want to say $5600 or so, they took my RTLO16713A as a core. Come with a 3 year unlimited mile (I think...might have been a 300k) warranty so long as
1 I bought a new clutch and syn oil for it
2 didn't have a pto attached.HandLogger, MJ1657, Lepton1 and 5 others Thank this.
