Please forgive an old logger turned vet turned logger, Nate, but what type of tractor is that? And, yes, I completely realize that appearances can be, and usually are, deceiving...the load you're pulling here definitely proves that theory.[/QUOTE]
That's a Kenworth T800 spec'd heavy.
Old hand talking to old hand...Nate is a young Man, but he has that old school toughness that drivers used to have. Good steady driver, never drops the ball no matter how big the load, or no matter where on the planet it has to go. When they master cloning, Nate is one of those guys that you would want to clone. Nate clones would be quite effective if you wanted to completely take over the transportation industry...or rule the world.

I'm sure it would make for a great addition to the thread, SuperHauler, so could I trouble you for details about your tractor?

Type the "@" and then the name of the person. No space. You will see a little blue box with that person's name and avatar appear. Click the blue box.
BTW, @superhauler has been building his own trucks for decades. I am still on my first. When I started, I built this truck for running Canada. So it had a shorter wheelbase that was required at the time. And it had the axles and gear ratios, the 18913A, and a 2WS E model. It was the model truck i wanted, with the sleeper I wanted. But from the beginning, the plan was to do the Superhauler Conversion. Built the 2ws, doubled the original hp. Had to upgrade the turbo, air cooler, radiator, custom clutch grenaded the 13, and upgraded to the 22918B.
I spent quite a bit of time offroad. Keep a lookout for broken springs and cracked steers. They crack at the lugsrank, HandLogger and johndeere4020 Thank this. -
Can't help it. I read the title and thought....well unless you're backing up, yes, the tractor should be going first...kinda like the pointy end of the sword....
Ok sorry, go back to being serious now.
EdHandLogger Thanks this. -

I was hoping that you would ad some details about your tractor to the thread, @superhauler
The more I can learn about heavy spec'd tractors, the better. Any other thoughts on the basic requirements of a solid heavy hauler would also be much appreciated. Thanks for your time.Last edited: Feb 19, 2017
