Same here as long as it runs good and DOT ready.

Detroit stopped making the series 60 mid 2009 and switched to the DD15. The gliders all use pre EPA 2003 engines, no EGR, no DPF, no SCR.

The only California compliant S60 is the 14L made after 2007. Detroit phased out the older 12.7L when EPA 07 came out.

I'll tell ya right now the only brand new truck I'll ever own will be a glider kit. If I HAD to have an emissions truck, I'd be in a brand new Star Car with a DD16 Detroit Diesel. Sucks that Star's aren't made in Canada anymore. My dad's 95 was a beast. Pure Canadian made beast.

They're made by Daimler. Same company that manufacturers Freightliners (and Sterling).

I may be wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me if I am. I think Freightliner closed their Portland Oregon lines a few years back and started building either Western Stars or Sterling's there.
