Have a local guy with a 2004 Trail King 53’x102” three axle combo step he wants to get rid of to get a regular flat. Are they decent trailers? The pictures look good. I’m pretty sure I’d trade my Ravens for it without hesitation since I wanted a step anyway.
Trail King step decks, are they decent trailers?

I would look it over real good, make sure it is not busted up or rusted out and get the paper work swapped before he changes his mind. lol

Also ck. the empty wt. you will find a lot of diff.

Said he wants to get $20,000 out of it. Seems a little high, but not out of range. Not crazy about the three axle setup, but it could be useful occasionally.

I personally like the 3 axles setups, especially if you ever plan to run western Canada, a spread is almost worthless and a closed tandem limits you too much on how you load it. I had 2, tandem axle ones, a canadian spread on one of them, and a regular tandem on the other, a 3 axle would have been light years ahead of either one.
I thoought a rear axle sliding spread would have been the answer, and did pull one one trip. I got busted on the way back at Prince George, BC has some odd overhang rules, they measure the whole setup, then take a percentage of this against a percentage of that and come up with the percentage of rear overhang, you can legally have. lol he shut me down, until I ask if I could spread it out and be legal, I was empty so that worked, if I had been busted on the way up, it would not have been good. -
Uhh, if you decide to pass on that deal. I want dibs. We'll hook him up with a nice flatbed for that stepdeck.
