I have a Utility Reefer trailer with Bendix Abs valve. The Abs valve does not cycle on/off/on but when ignition power is applied it just light up. Checked the power it has 13v. Checked the sensor it has above1500 ohms. Could it be the sensor is tossed? I cant get the blink codes because it doesn't cycle no clicks nothing. P

Trailer ABS doesn't cycle valves. Side ABS light up for short time ti inform you it's powered. If light doesn't cycle with ignition but on every time you depress brake means trailer ABS module energized from brake light and constant power from the truck is lost. Check central wire for +12 volts.

The light on the side just powers on at start. It doesn't cycle on and off. It just turns on and stays on. I am not able to pull the blink codes from the side marker.

    Ignition Power Activation
Ignition Power Activation is the process of using
the vehicle’s ignition switch (or interrupting the
power on the blue wire by some other means) to
display blink codes on the trailer ABS indicator
lamp located on the side of the trailer. This
method is for constant power vehicles only.
To obtain blink codes using ignition power
    activation, perform the following procedure:
    1. Turn the ignition switch on for no longer
than 5 seconds. The ABS indicator lamp will
    be on.
    2. Turn the ignition switch off. The ABS indicator
    lamp will go out.
    3. Turn the ignition switch on. The ABS indicator
lamp will then come on, then go out.
    4. The blink code will be displayed three times by
the ABS indicator lamp on the trailer.
NOTE: For ignition power activation, power is
    provided by the ignition switch

Try unplugging the trailer plug and plugging it in again with the key on.
That might get the light to flash a code.

So it was the Abs ecu toast because of short on trailer. The trailer Abs solenoids always cycle when you turn the ignition on. Thank you all for your help

How did you determine that the ABS ecu was toast?
