Last night I noticed one of my springs that hold my airlines up on my rear tandem broke and the other one doesn't look good either. I'm nowhere near a trailer shop. Are these common at a truck dealer?
Also, would I get hassled by DOT if I bungee them for now? I was thinking get under there with bungees and redo them bending the S hooks so they can't come loose until I find the proper springs.

Dealers will have a few springs in stock. Measure what you have now.
You may have to come up with a different way to mount it to the trailer if you have the ones with the tab mount.86scotty Thanks this. -

don't bungee.. use the heavy duty tarp flatbed straps..
you'll be fine just don't go a long time but as long as you got them hung up and utilize some of the holes in the trailer or places where you can hook them you should be fine I've done it before when I've had a spring break and not dragging busting airline86scotty Thanks this. -
Any Truck Shop should have them..Might find them at a Truck Stop...Bungees will be ok for now..if it drags on the pavement it takes 3 seconds to rub a hole in it and lose all air pressure..Good thing you found it Before leaving..

If you’re at home check the local hardware store.

Back when I was a company driver drop and hooking 4-15 trailers a day... I just use zip ties.
1. Inform company of issue
2. Use 2-3 zip ties (beefy ones)
3. Ride on
Reasons: zip ties will snap without damaging hoses when/if tandems get slid to the rear. -
