2010 walbash van. Self inflation system. Grease in bearing hubs. How do you know how much grease is enough? I bought the trailer used but dont know how to check the grease. I use an infared thermometer to check temp and they are close to same in temp but they could be all high. Of course this changes with ambient temp and load so i just dont know. Any ideas???

How long (miles) have you been using trailer?
Only way I know to check grease hub is remove hub cap.

What temps are you getting now? If the caps aren't too hot to touch with a bare hand I wouldn't worry about it.

There's really no wat to check without disassembly. Definitely wouldn't hurt, but if you're checking temp often, the only other thing I would do is check play.

Jack it up and back your brakes off. Use a tire bar under the outside tire and luft up. If your vearings are loose, you know right away.
