Replaced with new one, now air bags won't inflate. I replaced with identical unit. All air lines going to same location. Valve has integral dump

    1. When I push in trailer supply valve in truck - brakes release no air to airbags.
    2. When I pull out trailer supply - brakes set and air bags rise

    I don't understand...... IMG_2953.jpg

See attached, page 3 has a diagram. Did you buy the same brand valve? Some may have ports in different places. Do you still have the old valve. Look to see if the ports are marked and they are the same.
Probably not related to your problem but the connection where the vertical rod bolts to the valve rod is worn. Not just the washer hanging down but the rubber appears worn as the bolt does not look centered.

Still sounds like the air lines are not connected properly.
Not related but that looks like a big gap between the brake shoe and drum in the pic.

Why were you replacing the valve to start with?

I'm not that smart, so I would disconnect the linkage to the axle and the output line and move the lever to see when the air comes out..........and then realize I have it 180 degrees off!

Take off the airline and the exhaust fitting. Take off the two bolts holding the valve body. Turn the valve body 180. Put the air line and exhaust back like in the picture. 15 minutes work. Not like nobody has done that before.

Concorde, ZiplocW2019 and Oxbow Thank this.
