Could be the breaker is weak. Depending on what style it is. You may be able to replace it with a fuse of same amperage

I had the same problem last yr. Usually when you have a short one of your hot wires for your lights is touching metal somewhere on the trailer. Anyways I would turn all my lights on and the after about 2 seconds my trailer lights would go out. I started with the most easily accessible area, tail lights. I popped those suckered out and one of the wires had the insulation rubbed off from bouncing around. A little electric tape around the bare spot and problem solved

That mechanic is an idiot. Probably needs a youtube video on how to wipe his ###. Hmmmm.... Let me plug in this computer, it will tell me everything I need to know. I would ask for my money back and never go there again. If the mechanic's hands are not dirty, it is either the beginning or the end of the day or he is a complete buffoon that only uses a computer to think with.

Like they said and if you watch the trailer while the breaker is clicking on and off look for a dim, flickering, or light out. Start there and the weak breaker is a high possibility.

Pull each light out at a time. Sometimes the short can be in the light.
It could be in the male or female receptacles for the pigtail.
Good luck. -

Shorts to ground are probably one of the hardest electrical problems to find IMO. You pretty much need to trace every inch of wiring until you find the spot the wiring has rubbed through on. A continuity tester can help you pinpoint which circuit has shorted to ground as it will have very little resistance between the ground and the wire.
