Trailer loses a wheel on the freeway.

Had one yesterday when i was driving down the road. Blue beat up volvo pulling a reefer. Had a trailer wheel wobbleing like crazy and about to come off. Honked at him to get his attention and told him on the CB. Got told esentially to die in a fire and to mind my own business.

Most of these folks dont care, at all. Oh and 3 guesses as to the headgear of choice. And yes i did call it in, because that wheel was holding on with nothing but hope and 1 sad little lugnut based on how it was all over the place.

 

Frankly surprised he had a CB, and that he answered you at all.

 

Youed be suprised how many do. As for answering i think its because i honked to get his attention.

 

That wheel never lost it’s balance as it went two for two.
Just another hub pilot system wheel off of many. I’m assuming the inner one didn’t come off with it because it was welded solid on the hub with corrosion.

 

You did the right thing.
