If you run spot market freight it's much easier to just number your tractor and trailer. What's the big deal? Helps you keep up with your own stuff at yards where you have to drop. You never drop, you say? Me neither really, live loads only, but every now and then I'll get a Lowe's DC or something where you have to drop and let them spot it in while you wait by the guard shack. Just makes things easier.
Have fun with it.
My truck is 86 and my trailer is 75309
Every now and then somebody gets it.oscarp, Accidental Trucker and Cattleman84 Thank this. -
Never pulled a trailer with a number until I went OTR... All the flatness, bullracks, fertilizer chassis, lowboys, hopper bottoms, and the like I ever pulled didnt have a number aside from VIN and lisence plate.

A location in Arizona would not load because my Truck and Trailer# s did not match what the broker had gave them. If the # on the trailer was different than the 1 the company gave them, no load. By the time the broker called and said , you can go get the load, I was in Nevada with a simple load. Safety is big on Bol # s.
