Doesnt work that way on a trailer with air released pins... To release pins trailer brakes have to be set... As soon as you push the red button in the pins automatically lock again.Tb0n3, FlaSwampRat and HoneyBadger67 Thank this.

Hey don't tempt me I will take you up on that offerGreenPete359 Thanks this.

Once its rolling put in neutral , I always try to help if I can if I see a driver struggling at the scale while others watch.

Lol... It happens to the best of us... I agree that the method you describe is a good method for the older manually release mechanisms.Lepton1 Thanks this.

Do all new trailers have air slide now.
-
All of our newer trailers do... Not sure if that is standard now or not... But the only manual release mechanisms I notice appear to be on slightly older trailers.

And a fair portion of the time that bar wouldn't release the pins, or stay in the locked out position or any number of piss me off situations. I almost never pull a van anymore but when I do I love those air slides.
And, for the record, I've never hit the pins hard enough to deform them. Just enough to get them through the holes.Hammer166 Thanks this. -
Only if the trailer is ordered with it.FlaSwampRat Thanks this.
