One option for you is Love's TS sell the Double Coin TR100 for $2200 for 8. PLUS mount and balance cost if they do it.

Just my two cents if it was me and buying 8 I would go 11r if just doing 4 I would match what was still on the other axle. Never ran different sizes on same trailer so can't speak to that. Short/local with a spread is horrible on tires I wouldn't buy the most expensive but would try for good casings I could cap. I tend to use what I run for drives so I can cap them too and run out on trailer. Maybe I'm being cheap but my experience is that short haul spread axle flat absolutely eats tires.

I’ve been hearing good things about those doublecoins! That’s not bad price at all!

Cheap is good as long as you do it right & take care of those tires. I don’t see a problem with that.
My rear axle at the moment has good year recaps
Front axle has michelins & they have chunks missing. Due to u turns of course.
That’s why I don’t see the point of spending so much money on tires.

you should know that those tires if same brand and model are 0.2% of being the same size

What I’m trying to find out is what size to buy if I’m buying all 8 new.

I would go with the 295/75-22.5 if they are easy to find in your area and are reasonably priced. They have a 0.79 inch wider footprint and should wear a wee bit slower than the 275/80-22.5 (maybe 1 to 3%). You can also run the wider tires at a slightly lower pressure to give a smoother ride if you want.

As a bonus you can keep the best 2 as spares.
