Depends on how desperate you are I guess. I wouldn't go anywhere unless you already have a few other jobs lined up waiting to start work tomorrow

    What company? Just curious.

Many companies do this to a certain extent. But I’ve never heard of one being off by more than a few days.

Trainers usually take a few down days before the next student. And yours could have been delayed before that.

But from your post, I would say yours has a bad attitude. Be there when I get there, is not a response I’d ever want to hear. But, if you’re being paid a daily. Sit it out. It may be the only time you get to relax for awhile.

Hang with it. You’ll thank yourself down the road. Personally, I wouldn’t have recommended them to start with. But we all start somewhere.

Your goal is to simply survive the training. Keep that in mind, and let the BS that may follow, roll off.

You’re going to meet all kinds of people now. And I promise you’ll hate 75-90% of them. ;) Life gets better when you’re in your own truck.

Id wait it out. Keep in mind US Express does not habe to get you home if you quit, so unless you have money you could be stuck in GA.

I was a trainer with Swift for a year. If you have difficulty getting in touch with your trainer, then contact your development manager (or whatever they call them at US Express) and let them know.

I typically would get a full 34 hour reset on home time before taking on a new trainee at Swift. Training is a pretty difficult job. It involves sitting in the passenger seat, holding your hand for hours on end, then "sleeping" with all your clothes on for the first week when the trainee qualifies for team driving

Do NOT get into the bad habits of a QUITTER. Stay the course. Get through your training, get at LEAST a year experience as a solo driver, THEN start looking to move UP in your career.

    DO NOT MOVE SIDEWAYS.

If you make a move to another job after a year, make ###### sure it's a move UP.on the pay scale. WHATEVER you do, don't EVER get into the habits of a QUITTER! That will set back your career.

The BEST companies won't touch you with 10' pole and full body condoms if your track record shows you are a quitter.

You will be ok, as long you are being paid something and in a position to get going at some point in the future. Learning to wait is a difficult process but gets better knowing you have a goal some point when enough time has passed. Ive been focused on getting a procedure done soon that has been 8 months in the making. I can already tell there are other issues coming up quite rapidly already, but am working on that when I can.

All I can tell you is that maybe someday you will be a trainer perhaps. You will want to take your 34 and have whole 70 hours ready to throw at the student. I hope that right seat is a good one.

It goes without saying, try to get as much as rest as you can now. Youre first night with a trainer will not be much of a sleep time.

I recommend you find another company to go with, this one doesn't respect you enough to ensure you start the job and your career off right.

You didn't do a thing wrong, the company has, and this is another case where the "trainer" doesn't give a crap about those he "trains". Training is so easy, it is a joke that this crap happens.
