You are right and when you would ask about anything...they would say ..they are not testing you on that...

Karma may get this guy 30 years down the road...long after his lack of training ruined your experience, CDL, or your life.

You said it, no teaching going on. There are other trainers that WILL teach you.

Wrong there. They have him figured out so well that they want you to stay with him. Sounds like nobody has spoken up about this guy.

The most important......SAFETY!!!! Even as a new driver you can see the severity of the situation, so act on it!

Now you say you have learned a lot. However, you both came to an agreement at this point. Problem solved as long as you both hold to it.

Things were not working out until now. Which one is it?

Ok, so it's not working out. YES you should be discussing everything! NO, you are not expecting too much.

Once again, you know you need more training/better training.

So you are going to let him decide your fate and career?

I never drove for Prime, so i assume Mr. Larson is in charge of students or trainers. This situation is his pressing matter. Would it be nonsense if you kill somebody later today? You probably will never meet him on a positive note if you stay with this trainer. Actually, you will meet him on a positive note because you may potentially save your career and a few after you by getting this guy out of training.

You got one thing right, you are a pawn......a pawn in his lil messed up world. Your FM is not waiting for this, being they want you to stay on his truck. FM obviously dosen't see what is going on here.

This would be one of the first things I would tell Mr. Larson. This is unsafe for you and the motoring public around you!

If he was that great, you would not be in this situation. You said it again, dangerous. Learning is stressful enough without adding to it.

An awesome driver would be the complete packge...not just getting the truck moved around. If his best quality is flicking lights....your in trouble! Also, once again you see the severity of the situation.

It is easier to handle this at corporate, but the FM is not the one dealing with this. Those couple of loads could be your last. He could frustrate you to the point of an accident. You can't make the best of everything.

This will be my last post as I see a pattern. You need to get a backbone. I feel you may need to see a therapist with him. You went back and forth on your feelings about this situation. You stressed many good points on why you should not be on his truck. Stop being Mr. nice guy and worry about yourself. He is not worried about you...or himself for that matter. You will not get fired for stopping a bad situation. I'm guessing you didn't speak with Mr. Larson directly? It's your call.....just be ready to deal with the consequences, good or bad. Good luck.

So I am being picked by a new trainer and we spoke on the phone and right away he told me he was aware of what had happened and that there was not going to be any screaming in his truck and what he expected of me andcthat cc we were going to go around the block ajd have a talk before heading out and the first week was going to be all training with him next to me but I had to show him I was not wasting his time to stay in his truck... and he asked me if I felt that was fair... wow.!!!!

Good... glad its being resolved properly. Do your best to make things work - your new trainer is walking into this cold, and he's got a "the other guy vs you" story. So those first few hours are going to be your interview with him, and your chance to impress him.

    Good luck man!

If he's flicking his lights at others, then he is violating Prime's Policy on that matter, look it up or ask Safety about that.

    TooGroovy Thanks this.

I keep waitin to hear from "Groovy". Either he's too busy learning (a good thing) or his new trainer already kicked him to the curb also. Kinda interested to see which.
