My firm has put female trainees with male finishers. I've heard the trainee is instructed up front if she's uncomfortable or not happy to let them know immediately, and she'll be put in another finisher's truck right away.
This sounds very hazardous to me - which leaves me to ask, "does the finisher need a haz-mat license to co-ed with a female trainee???"

The "bluebird" company does co-ed training. I personally know one trainer. Sometimes, it's not the trainer, but the "trainee", who will compromise the co-ed training by thinking she/he can "seduce" the trainer, thereby completing their "training". IMHO, co-ed training is not the best of situations, as more often than not, either one of them can "claim" certain things happened/did not happen....

But when that combination has one goal in mind -- learnin' the Big truck truckin' ropes -- it's a beautiful thang.
I was a single guy -- and a trainer of mostly females -- because the married trainer's wives kinda objected to that particular situation.
Go figure.
And there were only a couple of female trainers.
I took de job.
And I probably learned as much from them as they did from me. Maybe more.
Choice be mine, I'd pick a woman trainee.
I'd have to give a man an attitude check before I accepted him.
Some guys are out to prove.
I found most of the women were out to IMprove.
Big difference.

I hear ya, Shockey! However, this particular female was the one out to "prove". WHAT she was trying to prove, remains a mystery....she was a decent driver, so she didn't REQUIRE her trainers "hands-on" approval that she attempted to "seek"......

I hear you there!
Perhaps my dispatcher, Lynnell, pre-screened my trainees -- which wouldn't surprise me. You know, weed the potential problems out and send 'em with the females.
I only had one ding-bat -- who I didn't pass, and she was my first female trainee. They were all uphill from there. I sure got a lot of pretty girls -- inside and out. Honest and open. With the girls, I usually knew what they thought because they'd tell me.
Imagine that.
Now imagine guys who keep it to themselves. I guess it's true about guys not wanting to ask directions.
I bet a woman invented GPS for us guys.
Ya reckon.

I hear ya, shock! But....how many females do ya think DON"T ask questions, BECAUSE they KNOW they are viewed as "inferior", or "not-as=smart-as" the average trainer? I have seen this happen....not saying it's RIGHT, mind you...just that it HAPPENS.
AND....A WOMAN DID INVENT GPS system!!!!
BEFORE I get slammed for this,....I DON"T KNOW, and IT'S A JOKE, people!!

It may just be me...........
Actually.... I'm fairly certain it is me.........
But I personally would rather be teamed with just about any man - yep, just about any of them ..... as opposed to being trapped in a travelling closet with most women I have met!!!
No offense guys, but ya'll are pretty straighforward and not to difficult to deal with............
Women, on the other hand, OH MY GOSH......... no, no, no...... -
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
I dunno, ....... but I'm thinkin' one is too many.
