I see where you "mean Argonance (sic)". You've displayed it here.

Ignorance is the lack of education/knowledge. Arrogance is an overbearing pride evidenced by a superior manner. Since you originally contend that "the trainer should not be in the jump seat at all times", you are trying to educate the uneducated (according to you). You are trying to educate the "ignorant" according to you. This was the entire point of your post!

Now of course you are taking a superior attitude as exampled below:

You see, this is a perfect example of arrogance. And show me where I've "made up words between the lines". I've used YOUR WORDS. That's all any of us have to go on. Words have power. All I did was respond to your words, disagree, and then post why I disagree. If you don't like that then try to express yourself more clearly if you feel you've been misunderstood. But you sir are the one with the superior attitude by the way you come across (see your words above, in bold).

No, the whole point is for the truck to make money. Do you have any idea how many rookies end up not being able to handle the job?

Newer Freightliners are light years away from the old ones in many ways. My first rig was a 95 FLD120 that would shake you cross eyed heading down the road. In contrast, the last rig I drove was a late model Columbia short frame that rode as smooth as a big ol Pete or KW.

Yes, I do. Do you have any idea how many burn out prematurely because they simply cannot sleep in a moving truck?

Teaming is a specialized skill. Solo drivers need to be trained as solo drivers, complete with real-life trip planning concerning where they are stopping for breaks, not learning how to drive completely exhausted.
