We used to purchase lights and bolt em on. Find two wires and run em. The amber ones were good... then...

A quick and dirty aiming will be to point headlights at wall, there is a screw for vertical and one for horizonal. Knock the lights down until they are about waist high from around 30 feet maybe a little lower. But find a shop and get them settled better.

You're supposed to be looking down the road. If you're looking right in front of you, you will only see just it just before you hit it.

That's what I meant I like to scan 100 200 yards or whatever in front of me. With those I couldn't see but I dunno 15 feet in front of me.

That is a Swift rule not DOT rule. Never was a DOT rule.

It used to be the trainer or team driver would have to be On Duty in the passenger's seat, but since they revised the laws to 2 hours in the passenger's seat who is it to say when that 2 hours started.

Lot of companies do this to keep a "trainer" in the money and run the truck like a team.

It is a DOT rule. You can't log more than two hours Off Duty in a moving truck.

As we now agree, DOT says a trainer can be in the passenger's seat for up to two hours. But come on now, we know what goes on; who is to say when that two hours starts.

That revision of the DOT rules happened around 2010 or 2011 or something. Before that anytime in the passenger's seat was On Duty, because at one time folks at the DOT had some foresight to see what things do happen. The two hours just opened the door to unscrupulous trainers that wanted to run more miles.
