Thank you for your response. I have goneback to their site and found more on the pay. I will say I think their sire is not as user friendly as others. Thanks again.
I will try to get info on chowder college or does anyone out their have any insight as to the cost for training.
Thanks to all.

Do a search for conway/cfi drivers on the web.

I was going to go to school there at Crowder. I live about a half hour away from there. But I just rented one of their trucks to get my cdl. The cost was going to be 3,000. The school is 4 weeks long. Good luck to you.

Well out of a choice of five companies, Werner, Falcon, CR England, US Express and Conway, i think I will go with Conway. Ive read some real horror stories on here about trucking companies and i guess i can take it for what it is, a story. Just have to trust my own judgement right? Now just to schedule my orientation and ill be on my way.
Just a quick question, anything good about the other companies on here? lol -
Go with conway. Mikel has had a very good experience so far and the cfiteam's boys are doing very well. Wish they would of given me the opportunity to goto orientation on 2/25(because my school trained on pups for ltl work the rescinded their offer). It took me a couple of tries and then I was nailing my maneuvers at my yard jockey job. Give Conway a shot.

thanks alot for responding BigDaddy, its been stressful to say the least. To sit there and try to figure out what is a decent company to go with. So many to choose from <definetely not going with swift> I just wanna keep my record clean, drive safe and run my miles. My dad told me it wasnt like when he first started and i can definetely see that.
thank you again for responding. -
No problem,I think you'll like it it based on mikel's post. I'm currently looking into conway freight locally.I hope it pans out. Best of Luck. If you goto Conway truckload start a thread about your journey.

The boys went back on the road this morning. At 7:30 AM they sent in the message that they were available and got their dispatch at about 9 AM. They are now headed to California. That is what they were hoping for. A nice long run, I believe they said it was somewhere around 2600 miles. Good way to start their week, and they stay out of the northeast! We're hoping that most of their runs will be coast to coast like this one and they can keep that truck moving! Time will tell, will keep you all posted.

I'm going for a test run with a company on Thursday. The work is driving plus physical labor ie pushing, pulling bins, pallets of recycled cans & glass, lifting bags of cans etc. They want me to make sure I know what I'm getting into and that it will work out for both of us. I'll let you know how it goes by end of friday.

Good luck Rob!
