I received a lead Friday from my CDL School Director. He told me a beer company called for workers(most likely helpers) and he told them he had a guy who has his cdl that just graduated and he'll send him down or call. I went to DMV got my hazmat, doubles and already had tanker. I called the contact person then went to fill out application. While on my way I decided to call my oil company and ask if they were hiring. They said no, but another company was. I contacted that company filled out application, talked with office manager, meet the owner and they said "I'll give you a shot, I like you" I was given "THE JOB". They sent me out for WHIZ QUIZ and asked me if I wanted to try it out Saturday and Sunday to see if I liked it plus I can get trained. I SAID YES! Will go over pay on monday. Only problem is no bennies.I currently have bennies from the state and VA. It's also seasonal and goes part time in summer 3 days + collecting. Not a problem I was in lawn care/landscaping and can go with my old boss in the summertime to make up hours or look for other oil/gas jobs that are busy in the summer. I know one that is busy then and pays great. At least this is a stepping stone or new home. Will keep MILLIS in play incase it doesnt work out. It should I wanted to be a tank all my life.

WORKED ON SATURDAY, the day went great.I drove the oil truck both Empty and Loaded.I didn't feel much of the forward surge but felt the side to side movement around corners and turns. I was told not to baby the truck, drive it. Once I did The day went by much faster and I enjoyed it. I use to drive throughout the state servicing customers and Its basically the same thing. In the past it was tanks of pesticide now, Its heating oil on a bigger scale. Well, bigger that lawn care tanks.

The one guy had problems shifting he just couldnt get it down and full of exuces. The test we did were a driving test ,one backing test 45 degree ally on a point system opstical coarse which was really fun to do all of these are done in the KW T 2000s as these will be the trucks we will drive with the finisher. I think this crowder collage here is great i wish I new about it before I went with the school I did.. The people are great they care not just a CDL mill . I feel very confident and safe behind that wheel now.
