Training at CFI/Conway

Well here is a fly in the oitment . Well I need a total of 7500 miles to be done with my finisher I am already a week behind do to waiting for my finisher to pick me up. I am at like 2100 miles now. Well today we were suppose to leave from Dallas,TX on our way to lowes whse in Plainfiled,CT by Tuesday 3AM 1730 miles this would of been a good chunk of miles plus a good paycheck.Well last night my finisher got sick. In the morning we fuel up at our terminal and he is not feeling well he wants to go to the emergancy room just to be safe before hitting the road. I wait all day in the rig (bobtail) he has to get admitted over night maybe more.So we lose the load to CT. and I get more time added to my training . Im not pissed because this is life and stuff happens. The good part of this story is I got to bobtail by myself (which felt great) back to the terminal not before stopping at walmart for supplies since i will be in the truck for the next few days waiting .I will keep you posted.

 

CFITEAM...... The guys should be testing in the morning ....... Have you heard from them ? how are they makin out?

 

Good to here about the boys, well im still her in Dallas and still waiting to hear about my finisher.I will be calling him soon, gonna catch a shower first.If he is going to be any longer than Tuesday I will have to see what my options would be.I cant just sit here and wait as my time away from home gets longer. Not to mention sit here not makin any money , I dont really want to go through the bull to get a new finisher not to mention more time and waiting.

 

Well got a call from him today at like noon time they released him from the hospital but he has to go home for a week and rest. They have put me up in a hotel a very nice one at that they dont skimp on the hotels. They have me a finisher but he is in joplin waiting on a load to get here to lancaster (Dallas) .So at least one more night of waiting .They did say there is alot of waiting in trucking . This task I have mastered. Well I Just hope this guy has a T2000 they have the most room in them plus Im use to that truck. I think at this rate I will be done with my 7500 miles by may just kidden It better only be like 2 more weeks .
did the boys get out of Joplin yet with the finisher or are they still at the holiday inn?

 

The Joplin terminal is the main office of conway / cfi that is a nice building it the one on the web site it is like the only one with the mechanics and truck wash. the others like w.memphis and lancaster are just terminals fuel, lounge ,showers,TV, wifi and dispatcher. Glad to hear they got out ok because the trainer they are sending me was suppose to pick up a student but I got priority. What part of texas they goin if they are goin to lancaster maybe I would see them.

 

Well if john is ther in the morning I might meet him. I will be there about 8am to meet with the new finisher and he is in a t600. Im like 2min from the terminal at the mcm grand so if he passes a yellow hotel nxt to the cracker barrel thats were I am. Iam glad there getting the miles insted of sitting in fn hotels. I didnt meen that to come out negative.....yes I did those guys could be done before me . I just hope the load we get ouut of lancaster is a big one I deserve it .
