Yes, a pillow at each end of the bunk.
Take a sleeping bag & pillow; not sheets. When the trucks rolling down the highway and the trainer is driving, he won't want you snuggling under his sheets. There's too much sway to sleep on the top bunk when the truck is moving down the road.
You'll have the top bunk when the truck is parked.

 

And wash each others back.

 

If he wants to teach you about the rules of the road wait till he gets out to use the head and take off.

not even reading the entire thread but from what I have seen you will be sharing the bottom buck. In other words when you are driving trainer will be sleeping. When trainer drives a couple hours you will be in the bottom bunk by law.
