Just curious what would be involved in this if i was running my truck under my authority if i wanted to take someone along for the purposes of training them to take their final road test what would this entail legally?

    Probably just insurance stuff, right?

My first hunch is that you'd have to have insurance to cover riders. If you are teaching folks to become drivers, I would guess you'd need some accreditation from your State's DOT or maybe something like that.

If you're running under your own authority, you'd need a statement on your letterhead that X person is permitted to be in the truck. Doubtless you'd need to inform your insurance company of said person as well, for liability purposes.

Unless you're making a career out of training drivers, I really can't see needing any accreditation.
