Does anyone know what the training pay for this company is? I have had issues getting this information from my recruiter. I am suppost to go out with a trainer for 8-10 days.

This is just my opinion, but if they won't tell you the training pay I would have second thoughts.

What kind of issues? Seems to be a pretty straight up question.

Is that Western's training with a mentor? Saw one of their trucks tonight parked at a Walmart.

How do you even get to the point of going out with a trainer and you don't know what the pay is? If I'm reading this right this is mind blowing that people can do so little due diligence and then after-the-fact come here and ask. If you step foot in their truck and don't know your pay you are a complete fool.

If they won't tell you how much they they're going to pay you...what other information will they withhold from you? Walk away!

None of the trainees knew what the pay was when I was in orientation. I was pretty amazed as well. I knew what my pay was as I took a local position. Also none of the trainees knew they had to stay on the truck for the next 6 weeks too. They weren't allowed to go home. Straight from orientation to the truck for 6 weeks. The only off time is when the driver goes home they put you in a motel for the duration of his days off then your back at it.

And from what I overheard from phone calls to the safety office many trainees switch trainers constantly because of issues and problems. They don't match people up very well at all. The first truck to show up with a trainer is the truck you go on.
