Have you done a C side yet? That's what my husband had the most trouble with as it can be tricky. Thanks for the update and I'm sure you'll do just fine. :)

I'm not sure what that is, when i went through their school back in 2006 the backing was like this for the test

    straight line backing
    sight side backing
    blind side backing
    Alley dock backing

Then the road test- both city and highway

Backing is down to straightline, offset and parallel parking. Nailed it all with no points deducted.

More practice driving today to hone skills for testing tomorrow. Going to try to get the first truck going out so I can get the test over with first thing. After that, it'll be orientation this weekend, DMV and license on Monday, and out with a trainer shortly after that. Have a couple of trainers fighting on who gets to get me in the passenger seat. **chuckle**

Overall it's been a good course. A TON of info thrown at you every day, with the stress and work levels kept high. Good way to determine quickly who's got the stomach for it and who doesn't. Class started out at 48.. We're down to 24, and I suspect we'll loose a few more tomorrow after the tests are all said and done with. Over the next couple of months, those that are on the fence will be weeded out and I suspect we'll end up with maybe 15 or so at the end of it all.

Hear a lot of complaining from folks being called back in for log violations and accidents. Far as I'm concerned, there's no excuse for either. Especially log violations. They're not that bloody hard to fill out! SHEESH!

Oh and Bre1979, I'll check to see if Art is still around. Haven't had him as part of the instructional team, but he may be doing something with the experienced hires that come in.

Driving test passed with flying colors. Officially done with class at this point, and company orientation starts tomorrow morning. Down to DMV on Monday to get the "real" license, and graduation Monday afternoon. Rumor has it some of us will have trainers and a load by Monday evening. We'll know more this weekend after meeting with DMs. Hoping to be in the group that heads out Monday evening. I'm ready to hit the road and start putting some miles under my hind end.

bre1979, Art is no longer here. Not sure where he went. And yeah, I met the "FBI dude" 2 weeks ago.. He's a bloody trip.. **snicker**

4 weeks out with a trainer, then back for a couple of tests, then back out with upgrade trainer for another 3-4 weeks. After that, I should be issued a truck and be out on my own. Hoping to have a VERY happy DM by then with goad loads to run. Willing to put in as many miles as they'll give me.

All in all, a pretty good course. Class has gone from 48 to 20 in less than 2 weeks. Pretty good way to weed out those that aren't going to cut it.
