His best bet at this point is to grin ad bear it. Get that ever important experience and do some actual research on a new company to hire on with.
Good luck dude. Just dont develop a rep within the company. Could get you canned. -
You've signed on with Warner. My advice is to stick it out, even with the additional training time they've tacked on. Finishing training with the company you started with will make you look better in the long run. It will show that you follow through on your commitments.
Once you're out of training, roll solo for them for 6 months or a year. After that, if you're still not happy, you can move on to a better situation and your work history will look better for having stuck it out. -
I'm driving with Werner I just got 130 and some change hours to go, I was told that I was one hard brake away from visiting Allentown terminal, I'm supposed to go to the family dollar account but since my backing sucks I think I'm going to ask to be a team driver, a guy ran over a yellow pole and came with the excuse he didn't felt it, he was back driving in less than a week.

Tacking on training hours must be a common thing at Werner. I put my first year in with werner back in 08 and 4 1/2 months of that was with a trainer since they kept tacking on training hours everytime i got close to completion. I was on a dollar General account which made it worse cause that account is mostly unloading rolltainers and limited regional driving. I always drove tired as hell since I was unloading during the day and sleeping between stops. usually 2-3 stops a day, and drove through the night. I literally slept 2-3 hours a day tops and that was split between stops. I will say when I finally did get my own truck I was pretty happy with werner for a while. Until repeated truck issues came up and they would always turn me down for repairs. Werner breakdown is the worst, Repair shops will refuse to deal with you if they are busy cause they dont want to waste time dealing with Werner breakdown department. I dont know if its still that way now.
