How ever you slice it, .40 is better than .33 if the post about Stevens is correct which is my point. No question drivers are almost universally underpaid.
Put 40,000 pounds of meat in a trailer, charge $1,000 to transport it 500 miles. Which is t bad for the hauler, it equals $.025 cents a pound. Push it to $.03 a pound and the hauler would get another $200. Would one half of one cent per pound effect anyone along the chain? But trucking companies will give up that $200 all day long to undercut a competitor. Sad really.

Ok, first things first. The creature comforts are nice, but, as mentioned, you'll get way to many opportunities to use them.

As far the piss test goes, they are tested on site and results are more or less instant.

Listen to @Chinatown go with Freymiller...nicer trucks, better pay, better company.

That's good then if they are over $.40. They all should be, well over it.

Agreed, but as long as they are all keeping they're shiny new trucks full with gullible, uninformed, stary eyed, steerin wheel holdin truck drivers why should they raise they're pay?

.30 per mile, and your not getting any miles? Are you kiddin me?
