if you can survive the white volvo eastern european crowd in chicago you will be ok
getting HT around chicago isnt a problem either
all the inlaws stepkids etc are somewhere between Romeoville and Midway Airport
so spent plenty of time there

In Jackson, Ms. things changed in what I was suppose to do now running to Lakeland, Fl. to Publix. Honeybadger what are they like? Can I park there overnight and can I deliver early? My app. is Monday 0700. Thanks

When you are new at this I highly suggest you just take your 10 hour break. It is a little easier to split break with e-logs but you can still set yourself up for failure by not understanding it. You might run out of hours and be in a bad spot to take your second break. There are some tricks to it. Most do it for reasons. Most don't do it.

When you go from paper logs to ELDs it takes a little bit to get used to it because you are used to cheating even if its a little bit. You have to be much more disciplined to run E-Logs. There is no fudging like paperlogs but in the end if you adapt to it it will help you run more effeciently.

Now all chatter will stop cause I posted. LOL

    Be safe out there

Don't go getting paranoid, jaso! Must be chocolate withdrawals? :yes2557: By the way, have you given your wife the bags you saved for her yet? I bet she was a happy camper, if so!!!!

While some of you are getting multiple stop runs, George has been waiting in Columbia, SC all day for a load. He has scheduled home time for Monday evening but may be coming home sooner. Extra days home will be great, but the paycheck will be awful. Guess it's location (of home) and time restraints, plus (to some extent) slow down in freight. Hoping for the best here!

If you really want to learn about logging and split breaks and blah, blah..... go to the search function, upper left hand corner, and type in logsRus. You'll find plenty of info in there, and things will become clear as mud!!! lol

thanks cranky yankee and seriously i did nt know the chicago/russian volvo mafia was so well know lol-jaso36-half the reason i wanted to go to a bigger/legit place was the e logs-lol dont know about the qualcom/blue tree or used an e log but my point is-there was no "just a lil cheating" you had to play ball to get the favor of dispatch/catch up for when you got screwed-didnt have favor. i played the game way to long for my tastes and common sense 18 hr days on duty was common-worse of all still didnt get paid all the miles i "cheated" lol

even among the eastern euro bunch some are worse then others
some at least pay but the 1099 thing is terrible
one company safety meetings is only there to teach how to cheat your logs
another co has a girl that will rewrite your logs for a price
this comes from drivers I know personally
18 hour days sounds like you drove local for one of them
the only way to survive those guys is OTR coast to coast big miles and not bumping docks

jungHo I came home with so much chocolate my wife is giving a lot of it away, which is making her real popular. LOL

chismi you will be all right just remember it takes a little bit to get use to. This is my first e-log company took me a few weeks to get it down. Last time I ran reefer this whole business was way different. Most reefer companies ran like outlaws but eventually DOT will catch up with those audits. Some just keep paying the fines but most care about their safety score as it results in contracts. I could pass any level 1 but I am sure they got nailed on audits cause the miles on paper and real miles did not match up so well.

You need a safe place to park the truck when you go home. There is only 2 terminals at Trans Am, Olathe, Ks. and Rockwall, Tx.
