They have never had a vision plan.....so no glasses. They do have a dental plan and as far as I can tell it did not change, however it is an add on through a regular insurance company. TransAm is self-insured....so it has never been your basic health care insurance but had always paid with very little hassle. Now it does nothing more than satisfy the most basic requirements of the ACA.....and uses every loophole in the law to skirt it as much as possible. Not worth the cost of the premiums.dennisroc and gntorres61 Thank this.

they will just tell you a safe place at your discretion
on any given day they have 8-10 abandoned trucks
hanging around waiting to be retrieved
i wonder how secure they are

Welcome to the thread chismi. Paying for a safe parking space would be fine with TransAm. The King used to leave his trailer at the empty lot by the police station in our small town and then bring the truck home. The first time he did that he got a phone call about it because the tractor was one place and the trailer was somewhere else but it was no problem from that point on.
My husband was a company driver for close to 4 years before he went with a smaller company. Much has changed in the year that he has been gone. Pete, Panhandle and I are the Ghosts of TransAm Past. We just hang around here because no one else will have us!
At the bottom of my posts you will see an address for our blog for TransAm drivers. I haven't updated it in awhile but it still has a lot of good information on it.

They have a list of items that must be turned in when you turn in your truck......the handbook is on that list so getting a copy would be difficult. However......the Queen has several .....if I can remember which box I put them in.
