I'm so happy for you and Patty, I know it's been a long road for you. It will be like Christmas for Patty when you get all of your stuff out of storage.
-
Thanks. I will be getting there at 0500 or 0530 is what I am shooting for. Sounds like a place I went to in Miami.

Hope everything goes well for you and no hiccups. Good luck with your new place

I wasn't ignoring you Jaso! I decided to actually do a little work and scoot my bad little badger self down to Friona. Load is ready, I'm just waiting til morning to roll out with it. It doesn't deliver in Macclenny FL til Wednesday morning anyways.
Pete, I think you're mixing Publix up with another place. They will want you either in the Frozen gate or deli meat gate. I'm no help deciphering that part as the time my load info said Publix Deli Meats, the deli gate told me to go to the frozen gate and next time when I went to the frozen gate they sent me to the deli gate! There's two different parts of that DC you can deliver to but all the gates are off the one road. The won't let you in more than two hours early and if I recall, there is no street parking! I personally would aim to be at least an hour early to be able to deal with the morning madness of everyone pouring in. The nearest truck stop would be our Florida terminal ((aka Auburndale Loves)). But pull up Google maps and check out the exit for SR 546. I believe if you go down about 3/4 of a mile there is an old abandoned truck stop you can park at. Shady area and park at your own risk, but it's a spot. My data signal is practically nonexistent and I'm having a hard time verifying it myself and giving an exit number.
I will likely spend tomorrow night in Greenwood, LA and have yet to decide if I will spend Monday night at home or elsewhere. Been trying to call my mum and see if the new Loves in Mossy Head FL is open yet. Exit 75 or so on I10. It's where 285 meets I10. Not sure if I am going home after empty on Wednesday or if they can move me around another day or so. Not sure how I feel about going to the Macclenny Walmart. Last time I was there I sat untouched for 4 hours and then blew up and threatened to take the load back to Cargill if they didn't start getting their product off ASAP. Didn't take them long after that to unload it and get me out of there!!jaso36, jungHo and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
I went to the airshow at Oshkosh last year and rented a cabin several months in advance. People told me that if you wait too long you will be staying somewhere a few hours away. Glad I rented the cabin but traffic was pretty crazy and all the restaurants were always crowded. But being an airplane nut , I love it
HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
well you nuts mess with my weekend
dennisroc Thanks this.
