It is a little bit hot here. now that the sun is down maybe I can get some restful sleep. I hope all is well with everyone. You guys can start to post now I am going to sleep. LOL

Sleep good, jaso! George is home, has been since about 1:30. I am a happy camper. Tuesday morning he & I will be heading to the hills for a much needed get away!! Well, actually we're going to the mountains of VA. We used to go frequently. We both love the mountains. Of course, George gets to see them more often than I with the trucking. I am excited to see my mountains and be with my man!

DENVER – If you plan on traveling this coming weekend, CDOT has a message: avoid Interstate 25 as much as you can.
The interstate will be closed in both directions between Santa Fe and US 6. The closures start Friday at 10 p.m. and last through Saturday at 8 a.m. The road closes again Saturday at 10 p.m. and won't reopen until Monday at 5 a.m.

A couple more driver recommendations on restaurants and truck stops -

Was looking for a different place to eat on I-80 in Wyoming and ended up stopping here. They tore the old building down and built a new one. The restaurant has only been open 4 days. They have a great selection on the menu, and this steak, home made mashed potatoes, corn, and salad I'm eating is almost perfect. Glad I stopped!

chismi, just wanted to wish you the best of luck as you start orientation this week. Don't be taken in by any shiny objects they dangle in front of your eyes. Stay a company driver! I guess speedy unload is not an option here at Publix. Been here over 2 hours and not in door yet. I wish there was detention pay or better yet a mandatory detention pay for all these shippers and receivers. I bet they would be way more efficient
