I know Swift keeps various reefer trailers at some of their terminals. When I went to orientation in '10 at Ocala, I saw three Reefers just sitting around. They must keep em as back ups or use older ones as storage trailers.

Man!!!! For the past hr and half or so, looking anywhere south and west, there has been all kinds of fireworks going off. Wouldn't mind having half the money, that has gone off in the air!!!!

Made it through Arthur fine, HTQ. We had wind and loads of rain but essentially no real hurricane here. We did, however, lose power for about an hour! Thank God, it was early morning (4:15 a. m.-5:20 a.m.) while temps were coolish still! I had to quickly switch my mom's oxygen from house supply, ran by electricity, to oxygen tank. When power came back on, I switched her hose back to the house tank; and she slept right through it!! Today was tiring for me, though, since my sleep was interrupted somewhat.

I kept watching for ships floating down the street, Cranky Yanky, but with no flooding, it just wasn't meant to be! When will <<my>> ship come in???!!! :biggrin_25520:

George is in Ohio (something like Estubula) tonight, heading to Erie, PA to wash out his trailer, then dropping that trailer and picking up a loaded one in North East, PA. He will take the load to Youngstown, OH to swap trailers with another driver. Then George will be Missouri bound.

JungHo, tell George to look the trailer over really really good when he picks up in North East, PA. They don't care if they load onto trailers that have problems or not.

    jungHo Thanks this.

talked to the people over on the Outer Banks and things were already pretty much back to normal
Saturday is changeover day for all the rentals
so the new tourists of the week will know nothing
not that I thought they knew anything anyway

Do you know the difference between a yankee and a dam yankee?
    A yankee goes home

My neighbors tell me that all the time. Then they tell me I make the Dam Yankee quota for the neighborhood
