Most of the police activity in the St. Louis area has been concentrated on the north I 270 through this week. However expect a larger police presence all around the St. Louis area this weekend. State Troopers from the Springfield area are being sent to St. Louis. This whole thing is just heartbreaking and sad.....

Twenty Missouri state troopers from Troop D are heading to St. Louis to assist with law enforcement. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says their focus will be around Busch Stadium as the St. Louis Cardinals return home. They will also be positioned around the Gateway Arch where an event is happening on Thursday night.
The troopers are heading to St. Louis County after several nights of unrest in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson. The violence started after the shooting of an unarmed African-American teenager, Michael Brown.
Meantime, the hacker group Anonymous released the name of the person whom it says is the officer who shot and killed 18-year-old Brown in Ferguson.
The Associated Press has not been able to verify the name. Police and prosecutors have declined to name the officer, citing concerns that his life, and the lives of his relatives, could be endangered if his identity is made public.
St. Louis County police and the FBI are investigating the shooting. County prosecutor Bob McCulloch said Wednesday that it could be several weeks before the investigation wraps up and authorities decide whether to charge the officer.
Brown was shot Saturday following an altercation with the officer. Friends and relatives say he was doing nothing wrong when an officer confronted him as he was walking down a street, and then tried to pull Brown into the patrol car through a window. During the struggle, a witness says, a gun fired inside the car, the officer released Brown, who fled, and the officer then shot Brown in the back. The witness said Brown raised his hands to show he didn't have a weapon, turned around, and was then shot in the chest and head.
Ferguson police have not confirmed that account or given a different one. The FBI and the St. Louis County Police Department are investigating the shooting.

Yesterday I was buying 2 large bags of dog food at Wal-Mart. I was about to check out when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had – an elephant?Since I had little else to do, on impulse, I told her that no I didn’t have a dog, and that I was starting the Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn’t because I ended up in the hospital last time. On the bright side though, I had lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of every hole in my body and IVs in both arms.I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry and that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to give it a try again. (I have to mention here that everyone in the line was enthralled with my story by now.)Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food had poisoned me. I told her no; I had stopped in the middle of the parking lot to scratch my fleas and a car hit me.I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack, he was laughing so hard.Wal-Mart won’t let me shop there anymore.

During a visit to the retirement home, I asked the director, “How do you determine whether or not a person should be institutionalized?”“Well,” said the Director, “We fill up a bathtub, and then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub.”“Oh, I understand,” I said. “A normal person would use the bucket because it’s bigger than the spoon or the teacup.”“No,” said the Director. “A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?”

Supposedly, the Missouri governed has dismissed the St Louis police department, from anything Tomlinson what's going on. Wonder who he's bringing in? 20 troopers won't be enough to handle much.

That's just from Springfield, but I agree and I am sure there are more from other Troops across the state being assigned. I just want them to do the right thing with integrity, responsibility and accountability. I find it hard to believe that the police cars in Ferguson have video cameras but they weren't operational ....Really? Even the little town of 1200 people here has cameras in their cars and on their officers. There is just so much wrong with the whole picture there.

That is the unfourtunate part of the I4 corridor, a major part of the states transport system and it only has 2 rest areas both which are outside of Orlando, and maybe a total of 4 truck stops if you don't count what is in Haines City or Orlando.

I hate places like this and am starting to get a little frustrated. Have been in this door now, for over 2 hrs. Was here on time. Truck on the left, backed in right after me and is gone. Truck on the right, just backed in and is being loaded now. Isstill waiting , they say they have to stage my product first. Wow, shouldn't it have already been staged??
