In West Lancaster OH at the Loves off US 35. 70 almost ran out. Only had 6 hours to drive and get 9 and change after midnight. Gotta make the Paul Revere special to save this load. Was hoping to make it to A and A, in Jackson but didn't want to chance it. Hardees is cheaper if not better. With the 55 mins left over it should give me 10 hours and 10 minutes. My appointment in Dunn NC is 11 am tomorrow. Gonna edit my log and see if I can get some bonus time added on. 494 miles to touchdown. Wish me luck. Deuces.

Yep. "Found" almost 2 hours of unspecified on duty time, mostly very early on this current trip. So I will have enough time to complete the delivery which was my biggest worry. Being late is a secondary worry, but I think I will leave when my 10 is up, around 1030pm and will have enough time to get me to midnight and then some where almost nine hours will be added on. Should be good. Might even give me time for a brief snooze along the way.

Missouri is working hard today .....both I 70 and I 44. Just heard that the scales in Joplin have a TransAm driver pulled around back.

In Northfield, Mn. at the J but if you need a shower this is not the place to go, only 5. Good restaurant though and friendly people. The guide says large but I don't see it. As soon as I got in a spot the three that were left were gone before I was done with my post trip. If I had more hours I would have pushed on but do not like taking chances when I have plenty of time to do the pick up tomorrow.

Delivered load a day early. Will be in Waterloo tomorrow. Early P/U time is 0700 today and drop dead is 8/23 1958. Hope they are ready but not planning on it. I know Ingle in Black Mountain I can park and sometimes they take you early. It would be nice to get home a day early.

Wulfman I try to find McDs parking but not always available. I do not usually spend the $5 for unlimited just once in a while or I use my points for the month. 16 gigs is more than enough for me.

    Be safe out there

I don't use the little base, I have two strips of the Velcro like stuff that we use to put up our PrePass on the back of mine. Got extra from the Olathe shop. I have little strips all around on the outside of the truck, just open a window and plop it on the side I think I will get the best signal. Or like you, just prop it up in the front window.

Since I leave for many months during the year, a long term contract with a big data provider like Verizon does not work for me. So, I have a whole mental list of places I can get a good, fast signal if I have downloading to do, I plan my break around it.

For example, I stopped recently at the Flying J in Corfu, NY .... an Econo inn across the street. My laptop wifi could not "see" a signal, but USB device was getting super fast speeds from the Econo Inn. It is now on my list of break stops. If I get a closer parking spot at a Love's with a McDonald's, I can get the McDonald's WiFi. Slower but ok to download podcasts and such, etc.

Hey jaso, how is your DriveCam? I have had three trucks since I came back with TransAm two months ago, I can not seem to help but set off the DriveCam red light on all of them. Three or four times each week. Never used to happen in my trucks before. No follow-up phone calls or anything, but I do wonder if they changed a sensitivity setting inside the cams.

I wonder how things worked out with that trailer for our Badger.

when i started form 50 wasnt there and trailers were horrible
then form 50 seemed to help keep things straight
but if the office doesnt have repercussions on the driver that drops bad trailers
this is what happens to our badger

The day a company puts a camera.... on me, in my truck, will be the day to find another job or retire. IMHO
