Great info Queenie! I think your right in your points.
I depend on the TransAm DriveCam to capture any major event and provide cover for any real incident. My stuff is more just screwing around. A GO PRO cam is the way to go for a lot of reasons, but a full kit is over $300. So I am going to play around with a second phone. A second android phone has all the stuff you need in a wireless cam (lens, battery, wireless ablity, memory card, etc.) but for free since it is just an old outdated phone.
I already ordered a basic dash mount, and will use a android phone dash cam more for just capturing 6 second vine videos to post to friends and family if I am driving through nice countryside. To point at a red/green light on a dock so I can see my green light if I am back in the bunk killing time. I will also try the idea of mounting it to the right side, blind side of a trailer while I am backing. Stuff like that.
I will set it up and test it out to see if it can reliably capture something "real" out on the road, but I will let the DriveCam do the heavy lifting on that score for now.HometimeQueen Thanks this. -

I'm shut down in Mill Hall at the TA. Onward to CT tomorrow. The weather along 80 from Morris to hear was dreary and a little drippy all day, but traffic was moving well with no hangups.

Speaking of camera's in the truck,,, I have been watching video's from a WEL driver who drives a new KW T-680 and records all his trips and shares everyday and even when he is at home sometime he will record family things , motorcycle trips etc..... His video's are fun to watch and he seems like a real nice guy.
I know most people who drive just like he does everyday probably don't care to watch someone else drive but I just thought I would share this info because he does some real nice video of all the things you drivers do and has a good camera and I think it is a Sony. He has his cell phone mounted on the dash and seems to be pretty sharp on all them high tech gadgets.
I started watching a lot of his video's because I knew TA had KW's with automatics like TA.
If interested in his video's just go to You Tube and type in " John Vollrath " Just thought I would share.
How about someone on here share some video's of your daily life and driving down the road

After the first year, I got tired of taking pictures, the tourist part was over so to say lol. Then again I had already been to most of the country when I started driving truck already. Dad was in the Navy when I was a kid so saw a lot of the country early on.Panhandle flash and dennisroc Thank this.

Good idea to watch. I also watched similar videos before I started driving to get an idea of what to expect. It did help.
Picking up a load tomorrow that is scheduled to take me by my mailbox early next week ... knock wood.Panhandle flash, dennisroc and HometimeQueen Thank this. -

In Dandridge, Tn. only 100 miles to go til delivery. Load isn't due till monday 0600 but I think I can park there overnight. Will google Ingles in Black Mountain, Nc. I have plenty of hours to get home after. So no worries there.
Well off to my geeky draft and will have plenty of time for my money one tomorrow, might even join another money league tomorrow. Tonights is a free one nothing but bragging rights among friends.
Be safe out there
