Well......... today, NYC was the clear winner. It thoroughly, totally, with great magnificence and dispassionate, kicked my butt up one wall and down another!!!! On top of that, caught a trailer door and ripped it off. Luckily, a repair place was about 1.5 miles away. 4 hinges and $280 later, door is fixed and I'm wandering around lost in the city. Yea me.

I hate to do this ....and keep in mind it is only one prediction for the coming months .....but...

Well George's DM yesterday messed things up. His load didn't have a chance to be delivered in Montgomery, NY Wednesday on time, since it was assigned so late. This is the first time since he has been working with TA that he didn't have a preplan before home time. Granted it was a DM that is new and apparently doesn't know the ropes very well yet. Anyway, there is a swap in motion that is to (hopefully) take place at 8:00 pm today at the Loves (I believe) in Baltimore, MD. He will then be heading west to Des Moines, Iowa. Isn't trucking so exciting?
Shorter load but at least he's rolling!
Sorry for your NY demise, panhandle. That's a bummer. Hope things look up for you and you have smoother sailing ahead!Panhandle flash and dennisroc Thank this. -
I made it thru philly. It was a lil challenging but I didn't hit anything. I had to drive down this alley with cars park on the street on both sides. A worker at the place was spotting me as I back to the door. Picking up a load at Welsh in north east heading to Oklahoma. Sorry panhandle about your experience today I definitely not ready to go to new york city.
dennisroc and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
NYC is just a big Philly no problem
those Roberts loads are good runs from North East Pa
have never figured out why a town in the north west part of the state is named north eastdennisroc Thanks this. -
SRQGhost, they have moved the ice line further south in the newest predictions, which will be good for me but not so good for some of the southern states that are ill prepared for winter conditions.
melo, I agree with Pete, that was always a nice run. The only thing that I would add is that three times on a drop and hook there, the trailer had to have repairs in order to be roadworthy....so do a thorough inspection.Last edited: Aug 26, 2014

My happy little badger self is camped out in Rockwall. The beer load got T called to the yard and my wonderful dispatcher got me on a Dallas to Denver double drop and hook that will deliver Thursday. Less than an hour after coming in to work after her week off and she lays down a card that will easily throw my week over 3200 miles. I jokingly told hubby I was having awesome dispatcher/lazy driver problems today. I'm just at the point where I don't want to DO anything. But I want the miles, lol!
passport220, dennisroc and HometimeQueen Thank this.
