Yeah Wulfman, no amenities out here. I will be happy again once I get to shower, sheet, shave, and shampoo. I can at least shave but the other three gotta wait. Its only been since Sunday morning, but I like to be able to shower at least every other day. Tomorrow after my delivery. Uggy.

all companies hate out of route miles 43 each way is 13 gal@$3.75 better part of $50
only experience will get you to a place driving where you can figure out how to get stopped enroute
to be more advantageous to your own needs
because i run same route every week it is easy to figure where to park watch games etc etc
    never going out of route
there are even shorter better routes to go if you look hard for them with your own GPS
and google maps to allow you out of route miles for "luxuries" like having a life

there is no help for the swap

    HometimeQueen and gntorres61 Thank this.

CY not opposed to doing swaps. My swap driver was out of his 70 but the first delivery could not be saved even with the swap. I ran to the Walmart but they could not take me. The load was six hours late and their receivers had gone home. I gotta hang this one on weekend night dispatch because they obviously did not communicate with the receivr at what time I could humanly be there. No need to swap. We could have kept our original runs and I wouldn't havehad to lay over 18 hours. Could have done 300 miles instead of 50. Whoopdee doo. With the way I run I should be averaging 500 plus per day with a 62 mph truck. Lately, I don't push past moer than 10 hours 13 working as I dont want to violate HOS. This swap was a loser.

    Heads up -

I am hearing about some things happening on Illinois interstates ......and if you remember that is where the King had the situation with the scam artists also.
Be aware of vehicles that follow you for long periods of time and refuse to pass, or act odd in any manner .....especially SUVs. Two drivers have had incidents recently and one was beaten and robbed .....according to the grapevine.

    gntorres61 Thanks this.

Frustrating!!! Just a screw up, you did everything that was ask of you, now you will shoulder the burden, unpaid for the mistake of others. I don't have any real advice, just want to let you know I understand you from being in the same position.

Nope Jaso, their heads are still in the butts. Last I heard, I did need to get an empty in Dalton and the preplan pickup time was being pushed out. Then later when I get in the truck to check my messages I have a free form message telling me to get an empty at Thermoking in Cordele, GA, a deadhead order to Dalton and a free form message with a DH number to get fuel. I AM SO CONFUSED!

Hometime, wasn't a woman shot, nearv St. Louis, and later died @ the hospital? I can't remember where I read it. The article stated that it's a new thing, that the people drive beside a car and keep pace with their speed. When the lady looked over, noticing them trailing beside her, she was shot by someone in the car. Did you see that too, FB maybe?

I am sure you already know this but you would need that DH# and that trailer # to get fuel. I learned that 1st day when I tried to fuel cause I was in Olathe yard waiting for my load and I had almost no fuel so I decided to get fuel at 7/11 and it took fore ever. Hope this helped but if not I was only trying to
