I have been using form 37 to ask about a preplan for the last two days. "no preplan exists" has been the reply. I made my drop and hook delivery at the Dollar Gen in Ardmore, OK at 1pm. The warehouse is completely shut down today, only the guard shack is open.

Took more than an hour for me to find an empty. No empties in any of the lots, actually used a mirror and flashlight to snake my arm up under and check trailers sitting at warehouse doors to find out if they where empty or not. Found one but now no reply about any preplan or dispatch.

Have things been worse since TransAm started their new dispatch system? How does all of that work? You still have your DM, then you have a co-DM or an alternate? Is it still the same ones on nights and weekends?

I'm just curious. You know that I think September is by nature one of the slower months, but it seems as if several of you are saying that you don't have preplans in a timely manner. I was wondering if it has anything to do with their new system of dispatch.

Currently in essex,ca at the rest area taking my break. I had deliver a load yesterday at walmart in los lunas, nm. After that i had to do a swap with a guy due to his truck needing repair. Geroge i was one hour late on a tyson load a couple of weeks ago. The load was suppose to get swap but at the last minute they cancel it. Anyway i still got blame for it because they said i went over my 10 hr. break.

HTQ since this 2 dispatch system they have really doubled the load on that current dispatcher. My miles seem ok but they haven't offered me any swaps in a while so I wonder if it is cause I won't do them for free anymore. The only time for me that I don't get great miles is when I go home. George just might be in a down cycle right now which we all go through. I haven't talked to any other drivers here besides this thread. I know this getting through to my dispatchers seems impossible now for me. So I message them is I need to talk to them to call me.

Doubling the load on a dispatcher may explain some of the late dispatches and pre-plans ....and some of the confusion on swaps. I think because you won't do them for free anymore, jaso, it might be your saving grace and why you haven't had to deal with some of it. passport, wasn't there some mix up on your delivery time in Boston? George and melo both say they have had troubles with swap drivers not showing up where they were supposed to. Mistakes happen but I am not quite sure if there is a pattern developing here. passport, I know you know this already....but George and melo, document everything. Take notes. If you feel anything is questionable use your phone to snap a picture of your dispatch.....just for peace of mind. It may be that they are having trouble working out the details on this new system that they have. You guys work 14 hour days every day but a dispatcher dealing with the schedules, assigned loads and any problems that a truck may encounter during a 12 hour day ....multiplied by 50 trucks, may turn out to be too much for some dispatchers to handle.

George has on several occasions had no responses from questions (regarding swaps, etc.) From dispatch/DM particularly overnight and weekends. That played a small part in the confusion with his last load. Due to the repair on the tandems, twice, after being loaded at Auburdale, his swap was altered, however, when he was in route for the swap location and texted to make certain it was still on, he got no response until he actually got there (West Memphis). Then he found out it had been canceled and was told to drive to Nashville. Tessa, his main/or original, professional DM, texted him asking whether he'd been told the swap changed. He told her he had not, to which she responded that she was going to have to straighten things out. There appears to be some inexperienced or callous people in her absence. I would say there definitely are problems there.

George is at last rolling again, since about 9:30 pm EST en route to Henderson, NC for Monday 5:15 om drop, then home time! He is attempting to make it to his fuel stop tonight (morning actually), which is close to Henderson....another Walmart DC.

There seems to be a problem with communication among DMs. When George was late for his load Friday and they refused it, that it had to be rescheduled, Tessa was unaware of it Saturday morning. She didn't know until George texted her to see whether she would be negotiating the changes.

He probably won't be posting on here until late Monday or Tuesday as he went over on our data plan and us trying to not go drastically over. Be safe out there.
